Old Vine, Eastwood Mall, Manila

We checked out Old Vine in Eastwood Mall today. What drew me in was the Tessie Tomas salad title! It has been a while since I heard that name!

Tessie Tomas Salad - combination of roasted prawns, marinated salmon and grilled shiitake mushrooms with mesclun salad in a creamy balsamic dressing for Php 295

I loved the mix of the dressing but the crisp succulent prawn clinches the thumbs up.

Stir- fried seafood paella for Php 250

Marinated Duck Confit - marinated in lemon - orange sauce served with roasted potatoes and salad for Php 430. It looked LARGE when they set it in front of me. The duck was a bit dry tho, but otherwise it would be worth every peso.

  1. Have eaten there. Quite good. How was the paella? Didn't try that before.

Loved the salad! Found it a bit pricey though.

  2. I am not used to dry paella, but then my friend got the stir fried one so I will not be a good judge.

We ordered the salad out of whim (in fact, we entered the restaurant bec of the salad title. Hahaha - it's the little things). Yeap on being pricey, but I always psych myself by saying that we really pay for the ambiance and location more than anything
