Baked mushroom

I think this is another one of those substitution fail cases, but can something go so wrong when i substituted the wrong cheese?

My ingredients
1. unsalted butter
2. all purpose cream
3. shitake mushrooms
4. not pecorino cheese

Ok, so maybe I substituted more than one ingredient. Perhaps that's why it came out slightly watery instead of the dry one that was in the photo.


I wasn't satisfied with the texture so I just chose to leave it in the oven a bit more to burn the cheese. If I wasn't going to have yummy mushrooms, I might as well have yummy cheese!


I could distinguish between the cream, the cheese and the mushroom. I don't really have a good benchmark for this one so I'm going to rate this as ok. =\
